Relying on the support of the College of the Humanities, Peking Opera Society of Jilin University, guided by Professor Wang Guimei of the college, is initiated by 2014-grade Zhang Yang who studied Japanese translation at the College of Foreign Languages together with Qi Lin, Zhang Shudi and Wang Fuzhou, etc. The Society is the only literary and artistic student society among Jilin University that features the quintessence of Chinese culture-Peking opera-as well as local operas as the study objectives.
